Hosta 'Whirlybird'

This upright growing, large size (19 inches high by 21 inches wide) cultivar was originated by Dr. Ralph (Herb) and Dorothy Benedict of Michigan but registered in 2010 by Rod Kuenster of Iowa on their behalf, and is of unidentified parentage. It has blue-green foliage that is broadly ovate, slightly wavy, slightly cupped and slightly shiny on top.

According to the registration materials: "...medium sized blue turning to dark green in the late summer, shiny..."
