Hosta 'Whybblue'

This cultivar is the result of a cross of a seedling of H. 'Yankee Blue' × a seedling of H. 'Yankee Blue' that was registered by Madelon Gilligan of New Zealand in 2013. It is a large size plant about 25 inches high by 39 inches wide which has a fast growth rate.

The foliage is light blue-green, lance shaped, slightly twisted, deeply wavy and glaucous on top. Near white, tubular flowers with light colored stripes bloom from June into July. It sets seeds but their viability was undetermined at the time of registration.
