Hosta 'Wilson Lake'

This 'Sieboldiana'-type cultivar was originated by Dr Ralph (Herb) and Dorothy Benedict of Michigan but registered in 2010 by Rod Kuenster of Iowa on his behalf, and is of unidentified parentage. It is a large size hosta about 20 inches tall by 32 inches wide with medium blue-green foliage. The leaves are moderately corrugated, nearly round, moderately cupped and have a glaucous bloom on top. Bell shape flowers bloom from June into July on scapes 26 to 30 inches tall.

The Benedicts lived on Wilson Lake in the southern part of Michigan.
