Hosta 'Wizard's Illusion'

Registered by Don Dean of Minnesota in 2019, this cultivar is an upright growing seedling of {[H. 'Liberty Bell' × (H. 'Urajiro Hachijo' × H. pycnophylla)] ×  H. 'Whimsey'} × (H. 'Party Favor' × H. 'Grand Slam'). It is a medium size plant about 13 inches high by 28 inches wide with greenish-yellow foliage with heavily rippled margins.

The broadly ovate foliage is dull on top, slightly folded, moderately domed and heavily wavy. Pale lavender, bell-shaped flowers bloom from July into August on scapes 20 to 22 inches tall. It sets seeds but their viability was unknown at the time of registration.

The registration materials state: "...Deeply heart-shaped, wavy leaves of glaucous greenish-yellow on a small sized plant...turns golden-yellow later."
