Originated by Brian Skaggs and Virginia Skaggs of Indiana, this non-registered cultivar is of unidentified parentage. It is an upright, medium size hosta with green foliage. The ovate leaves are very wavy, slightly folded and come to a long point at the tip. Its lavender flowers are held on tall, dark purplish scapes.

Schatzi means sweetheart. It is also the name of a wine company.
