Hosta 'Yang'

Registered by Dr. Jim and Sandy Wilkins of Michigan in 2002, this sport of H. 'Maize and Blue' forms a small size mound. It has thick substance and the lavender flowers bloom in August.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), this cultivar " one of two stable sports out of 'Maize and Blue'. The other, 'Yin', has the opposite foliage color pattern. Because of its creamy-centered leaves, 'Yang' is a much slower grower than 'Yin' and difficult to establish in gardens."
