Hosta 'Yellow Dog'

Registered by Gerry Hicks of Maine in 2017, this upright growing, large size (28 inches high by 48 inches wide) cultivar is of unidentified parentage. The golden yellow leaves are broadly ovate, somewhat wavy, slightly corrugated, moderately cupped and dull on top. Pale lavender flowers with purple stripes bloom from June into July on scapes up to 48 inches high followed by viable seeds.

The registration materials state: "...Solid gold leaves of heavy substance with an upright stance...emerges light green before turning golden yellow."
