This sport of H. 'Jane Ward' is a non-registered hosta from
Van
Wade of Wade and Gatton Nursery (Closed 2019) of Ohio. It grows into a medium size plant about 16 inches high
by 43 inches wide with green but heavily streaked
foliage. This cultivar is distinguished by its
variegated floral bracts. In July, it produces pale
purple flowers.
According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "Hybridizers should consider using this as a starting
point in the development of better floral bracts in
hostas."
