Hosta 'Zeus'

This is one of those cases where there are two hostas with the same name. Neither are currently registered with The American Hosta Society. The first one to be registered would become the "official" hosta of that name and the others would have to be renamed.

Originated by Gino Vandekinderen of Belgium, this non-registered cultivar is of unidentified parentage. It is an upright, small to medium size hosta with green foliage that has a creamy yellow watermark type of streaked variegation. The ovate leaves are twisted and slightly folded.

There is a cultivar, H. 'Hirao Zeus' and also H. 'Zeus' Fury'. In Greek mythology, Zeus was considered the king of the gods. He had control of the sky, weather, law and fate.

Hosta Helper will call this plant 'Zeus' (Vandekinderen)

There is an image of this cultivar on the Hosta Library. Originated by Unknown, this non-registered cultivar is of unidentified parentage. It appears to be a medium to large size hosta with light green, broadly ovate leaves.
