Hosta 'Forest Firefly'
 

 

Registered by Don Dean of Minnesota in 2008, this medium size (11 inches high by 29 inches wide), medium to fast growing cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Neat Splash' × (H. 'Crepe Suzette' × H. 'Buckshaw Blue'). It is a medium to dark green hosta with yellow to creamy white medial (center) variegation. The leaves are ovate, moderately cupped and slightly shiny on top. Tubular flowers with translucent edges bloom from mid-August into September on scapes up to 17 inches tall.

According to the registration materials: "...vigorous white centered with two colors, wide edge giving tri-color, inverted cupped leaves, cupped white scape, with bracts matching leaf pattern...center becomes near white..."
