Hosta "Sea" Series

This group of hostas was developed by Mildred Seaver of Massachusetts. She started hybridizing in 1970 and has introduced over 90 new hosta cultivars.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "She emphasized color, substance, and marginal rippling, but most of all a seedling had to be distinct before she deemed it worthy of introduction."

Here are a few examples that we have been able to photograph:

  2. 'Sea Dream'
  3. 'Sea Drift'
