Our Standard Website Package is an affordable, multiple page website that will provide your group with everything it needs to communicate with your members and to promote your group to prospective members.

The Standard Website is intended to inform others about your organization and to allow them to contact you for more information. It is a way of gathering potential members and to let the horticultural community know that you exist.

The Homepage is the introduction to your website. It should welcome visitors and begin to tell them about your group, its goals and activities. Use a few paragraphs to introduce the other sections of the website where visitors can get a much deeper look at your activities and programs, history, officers and committees and your contact information.

It can also be the place to publicize upcoming events or to post brochures and registration forms for activities open to the general public.

 

Ever misplace the paper containing the schedule of events for your group? By having the listing online, it is available to all members 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This section can include activities open to the public or those for members only. On the items limited to members, do not list the location of the meeting but include a contact email or phone number.

You can also post your newsletters online with our Newsletter Option and save money in printing and postage!

How long has your group been around? What are the major projects or activities that help define who you are as a group? This section could also be called "About Us." It may be used to tell prospective members and the world at large about your group's contributions to gardening and horticulture.

Let people know how to contact the major officers of the organization for more information. Also, list the committees and their responsibilities to share with prospective members the opportunities for becoming active in the group.

This includes alternatives for contacting your organization including US mail, FAX, telephone, email, etc. It may also include requirements for membership in your group.

You may also submit five photographs for inclusion on the page as part of your Standard Website Package. The images will be represented by a thumbnail image which will be 150 pixels wide. Clicking on this thumbnail will lead to a full sized (a 720 pixels wide image with a caption of your choice). The thumbnail shown here will lead you to an example picture page with caption.

There are several alternatives for submitting photographs to be used on your website. If you would like to expand your picture display, you may also choose to include one of our Photo Gallery Options as part of  your package.

We can take your logo from a digital file, scan it from letterhead or business card or other source and create a distinctive header for your page. We will work with you to make a nice logo for your site and for use on written materials for your group.
