The address of your website is known (in technospeak) as the Uniform Resource Locator or URL. With , your website has 3 options for a URL as follows:

The standard URL for our websites is http://clubs.plantsgalore.com (no .www needed). When a visitor enters this site in their browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, AOL, etc.) they will be taken to a webpage that lists all the websites hosted by
. Your site will be listed in alphabetical order along with your city and state.

For a small extra fee, you can have a sub-domain URL for your website. For example, if you are from the Goutweed Society of America, you can have a sub-domain URL of something like goutweed.plantsgalore.com or gsa.plantsgalore.com. This would take visitors directly to your site without having to visit an index page first.

A more expensive but personalized option is to have your own Domain Name. You could have a URL such as goutweedsociety.org or goutweed.org depending on the availability of your desired name.

Once you have registered your name successfully, it is exclusively yours as long as you pay a renewal fee every two years. However, you would also have to house the site at an Internet Service Provider (ISP) which involves an additional monthly fee.
