On May 23, we visited
the yard of Bob Riley to see his progress on the
backyard ponds that he and Mildred are constructing
this year.
The Locust Estate was
our host for the mid-spring garden tour. It was a
fantastic meeting and we all had tons of fun.
Local Extension Agent,
Henry Gimble, took us on a summer tour of the
gardens and houses at the Gimbletown Arboretum he is
developing with a grant from the USDA.
In August, Sara Sota
gave us a nice program on the construction of
lightweight containers for our house plants or for
outdoor use.
Our annual visit
to the Food For All gardens went especially well
this year and 4 more members decided to devote
significant time volunteering for them.
