The Lady Bug Beetle Club of Critterville is devoted to the understanding and preservation of the lady bug beetle. This much misunderstood hero of the garden battles valiantly against aphids and yet, has been under constant threat from pesticides and homeowners with vacuum cleaners. When will the needless killing end?

Through educational programs, we teach people to love our little friends. Our club has distributed over 3 billion lady bugs throughout the county in the past twenty years. This makes Lepodoptera County the most aphid-free county in the United States.

Each year we offer a scholarship to the Department of Entomology at Ellis University. Funds for the scholarships are raised through donations and from activities sponsored by the club.

Membership to our club is open to anyone truly interested in the welfare of the Lady Bug Beetle regardless of race, sex, religion, national origin, etc. etc.

Our dues are $12.50 per year which includes our annual potluck banquet at the Lady Bug Park Pavilion. Contact us for a membership application.

Lady Bug Beetle Day - Once again, we will be hosting Beetle Day on July 14th this summer. We will have many educational exhibits and booths that will help inform the public about the benefits of this wonderous insect. The festival will feature noted speakers from across the country, musical groups and a very large vendors' area.

Starting at 9:00 a.m. with the release of 100,000 lady bug beetles, the activities of the day will be many. Amateur photographers are encouraged to bring their equipment and children are welcomed.
