Vining plants can help to raise the
garden up into the air and provide interest in the 5 to 10 foot area
above the ground. They can also provide a lot of color and interest
			throughout the season.
As with all companion plants for
hostas, vines to be useful, must have similar environmental
requirements. Most commonly used vines are full sun to light shade
plants. However, many of them will still grow in heavier shade but
they will grow slower and may not flower as much. For some, that
will be a good tradeoff. A few large, bright flowers in a shade area
may have a more dramatic effect than dozes of the same flower in a
			sunny location.
