A self-pollinated seedling of H. 'Purple Verticulated Elf' which is a sibling to H. 'Amethyst Chip'. It was registered by Dr. Ralph (Herb) and Dorothy Benedict of Michigan in 2003. The plant grows to about 7 inches in height with spread of 15 inches. Its deep blue-green foliage has smooth texture and thick substance. Its lavender blue flowers bloom from late July into August.
