 This hybrid of a streaked
seedling of H. 'Big Boy' × a seedling called 'Longiana
Blue' was
originated by the
British Hosta
and Hemerocallis Society and registered by
Bob Solberg of Green Hill Farm in North Carolina in 2013. It is a medium size plant about 18 inches tall by 39
inches wide with medium blue-green foliage with yellow and white
marginal variegation. The leaves are broadly ovate, slightly
folded, moderately wavy with a glaucous bloom on top. Pale
lavender, tubular flowers bloom from July into August.
According to the registration materials: "...variegated
form of a hosta known as ‘Longiana Blue’ with an irregular,
broad cream to white margin jetting towards the midrib, random
golden yellow flashes can appear near the leaf edge."
