Hosta 'Annabel Lee'

Originated by Alttara Scheer of Connecticut and registered on her behalf by the Registrar of the American Hosta Society in 2019, this cultivar is of unidentified parentage. It is a large size hosta about 22 inches high by 48 inches wide with "strong" yellow-green, very wavy foliage. The ovate leaves have a satin sheen on top and are slightly twisted and slightly corrugated. Lavender flowers bloom in July on purple speckled blue-green scapes 25 to 30 inches tall followed by viable seeds..

The registration materials state: "...Quickly forms a dense mound of very crinkled, wavy-edged leaves...emerges bright yellow before quickly turning to yellow-green (142A) and finally moderate olive-green (146A) by late June."
