H. rectifolia

'Aomori Setting Sun'
 

This cultivar originated in its native Japan in the Aormori Prefecture and was discovered by Kimio Muroya. It is also known as H. rectifolia 'Amori Setting Sun' and is thought to have come from a naturally occurring sport. It grows into a medium size hosta about 18 inches high with a width of 30 inches. Purple flowers bloom from mid-August into September.
