Hosta
'Blue Steel'

This cultivar is a sibling to H. 'Dorothy Benedict' (self-pollinated seedling of H. 'Frances Williams') which was introduced by Dr. Ralph (Herb) Benedict of Michigan in the early 1980s. The large size mound of blue-green foliage is about 26 inches high and 68 inches wide. It bears clusters of near-white flowers in July.
