This arboretum was founded in 1902 by the curator of the State Botanical Garden of Brussels. It is around 220 acres in size and contains collections of plants from various forest types in temperate zones of the world. There are over 465 species of trees and shrubs represented in the collections. The facility is located in the town of Tervuren not far from the city of Brussels, Belgium.

We visited this arboretum on a bus ride between seeing gardens in Amsterdam and Paris. It was a short visit but our recollection is that the garden was very nice and contained some very old specimen plants. I do remember a mugo pine which had attained a rather huge size for the species.
