George Cain (1856-1919) was the
“Conservateur du Musée Carnavalet et des collections historiques
de la Ville de Paris from 1897 to 1914.”
The garden was opened to the public in
1931. It had been a large market garden since the 13th century.
A 17th century bronze called "Dawn" is featured in the garden.
