Created in 1824, this is the third largest
cemetery in Paris behind Père Lachaise and Montmartre. It is
located on the Left Bank in the Montparnasse district. Famous
people such as Charles Baudelaire, Eugène
Ionesco, Samual Beckett, Simone de Beauvoir, André Citroën, Guy de Maupassant,
Jean Pierre Rampal, Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagall, Ford Madox
Ford, Ezra Pound, Diego Rivera, Salvador Dali, Jean Paul Sartre,
Jean Seberg, Georges Sand, Camille Saint-Saëns and Alfred
Dreyfus are buried here.
