This formal park was planned by Napoléon
III and
Baron Haussmann and was completed around 1878. It is the
second largest park in Paris with over 1,400 tees, vast lawns,
perennial beds and borders. Stone and bronze statues are spread
throughout the landscape. Within the park is a lake with the "Pavillion du
Lac" restaurant, Paris Observatory and a bandstand.
