The house and coach house at the Museum Van Loon in Amsterdam were created by the architect, Adrian Dottsman in 1671. The small backyard garden was designed by Ingrid Tileanus in 1973 and restored by André de la Porte in 1998.

This neat little museum along one of the many canals in Amsterdam is a hidden gem. It was one of the larger houses with a front house that opens on one canal and a back, carriage house that opens up to a second canal. Between the two structures is a beautifully maintained little garden typical of the way they were kept in the past century or so.
