Located just 5 miles northeast of Cambridge, the Anglesey Abbey, Garden & Lode Mill consists of 114 acres of landscape gardens and wildlife preserve. It was originally an Augustinian priory begun in the early 1100's. The property was in private ownership from about 1400 and has been turned over to the National Trust.

This beautiful, well maintained property is operated by the National Trust. It has a very nice rose garden, formal dahlia garden and a large area that is surrounded by a magnificent perennial border. Also included are large areas of open fields and woods.

This is a great place to visit along with nearby Cambridge University. A short drive away is the property of Alan Bloom which includes The Dell Garden and Adrian Bloom's Foggy Bottom garden.
