Kohl Pumphouse - USA - Gardens, Parks, Squares and Open Spaces

Established in 1975 by Marion S. Panaretos, the San Mateo Arboretum Society provides community horticultural participation. Through volunteer effort, the Society maintains the Kohl Pump House, greenhouses, garden shop, and rose garden at San Mateo's Central Park, and sponsors educational programs and workshops on gardening, landscaping, and floral arrangements as well as special events such as the annual garden tour.

I am not exactly sure where the arboretum begins and if the nearby rose garden is a part of it but this area is just a few yards away from the Japanese Garden in San Mateo's Central Park. Combine the two for about an hour or so if you are in the area.
