North Carolina Botanical Garden - USA - Gardens, Parks, Squares and Open Spaces

This 800 acre garden consists of nature trails, the Coker Arboretum, Mason Farm Biological Reserve and other lands. The Display Collections has various gardens including a Piedmont Habitat, Mountain Habitat, Shade Garden and Fern Collection. North Carolina Poet Laureate, Paul Green's cabin is also located on the site.

We visited this garden in February so there wasn't much going at the time although the weather was much better than "Up North" and reminded us of springtime. I suspect that in the early spring and summer, this would be a great place to visit for an hour or two.
