University garden with a series of terraces linked by a flight of steps as its central feature. The terraces lead into display gardens with noted collections of iris, azalea and bulbs. An Asiatic Arboretum was begun in 1989. The total garden is 55 acres in size.

Nestled in amongst University buildings is this oasis of green and solitude. There are wonderful collections of plants adapted to this part of the world. We visited on a nice, warm day in February and plenty of students were enjoying the open spaces in the park-like garden. Well worth a visit.
