Gravel Paths for the Landscape - Ever watch a British murder mystery on t.v. and hear that "swish, swish" sound as cars pull into the driveway? Well, that is the sound of pea stones or gravel that is commonly used for driveways but it is also often found in gardens too. The stones present a natural, informal look and feel to the paths. Perhaps the primary downside of this type of path is that some type of border is needed to keep the stones in the path and not in the lawn or beds and borders.
