Hosta 'Abiqua Ground Cover'

This plant of unidentified parentage was registered in 1988 by Dr. Charles Purtymun at Walden West Nursery in Oregon. It forms a small size mound about 9 inches high and 12 inches wide. The leaves are heart shaped and slightly wavy. Pale purple flowers bloom in July.

The New Encyclopen-pollinated seedling edia of Hostas by Diana Grenfell (2009) states: "Vigorous, a rapid increaser. A superb hosta for ground cover although not forming dense mounds."
