Hosta 'Alabama Bowl'

Natalee Suggs registered this hybrid of H. 'Elegans' × H. 'Big Mama' in 1986. This giant size plant grows to about 26 inches in height with a spread of about 70 inches. The blue-green foliage is deeply cupped, moderately corrugated and becomes shiny green as the season progresses. Its near white flowers bloom in late July.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...notable for its deeply cupped foliage and for the fact that it blooms about a month later than other H. 'Sieboldiana'-types."
