This cultivar which has H. sieboldii in its background was registered by Peter Ruh of Ohio in 1995 on behalf of the originator, Gus Krossa of Michigan. The small size plant grows about 8 inches high with a spread of around 20 inches. Its bright yellow leaves are slightly wavy, have thin substance and reddish purple dots on the petioles. Pale purple flowers bloom in August.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...was known for many years as Hosta clavata, but is actually not at all similar to it. Peter Ruh of Ohio named this for Alma Krossa, Gus Krossa's wife."
