Peter Ruh of Ohio registered this cultivar on behalf of the originator, Hajime Sugita of Japan in 1999 and modified in 2000. It is a hybrid of H. kiyosumiensis x H. pycnophylla which grows into a large size hosta about 21 inches in height with a width of 52 inches. The medium green foliage has deep veins with an elliptic shape and petioles with a lavender-purple coloration. Its leaf bottoms are whitish in color and this cultivar blooms in August.
