Hosta
'Arc de Triomphe'

Registered by Dr. Ed Elslager of Michigan in 2000, this is a hybrid of H. 'Foxy Doxy' and H. hypoleuca. It is a large size (24 inches high by 35 inches wide) hosta with slightly corrugated, slightly convex leaves with thick substance. Pale lavender flowers in mid-July followed by viable seeds.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "Though this was registered as having yellow margins, they are pure white by early July."

The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by Diana Grenfell (2009) states: "Slow to increase. Grow with blue-leaved hostas as a contrast...Some leaf edges are upturned showing the distinctly glaucous undersides inherited from the H. hypoleuca parent."
