Hosta 'Bitsy Gold'

Registered by Robert Savory of Savory's Gardens in Minnesota in 1985, this cultivar is a seedling of H. longissima and a gold seedling. The low mound grows into a small size (8 inches high by 18 inches wide) mound with very narrowly elliptic shaped, slightly wavy leaves. Lavender flowers from late July into August.

The Book of Little Hostas by Kathy and Michael Shadrack (2010) says: "Looks particularly nice alternating with H. 'Bitsy Green', the green-leafed version, along the edge of a path. Hosta 'Bitsy Blue' is the more-difficult-to-find blue version."
