Hosta 'Bix Blues'

This cultivar resulted from a cross of H. 'Halcyon' × H. 'Elegans' and was registered by Ron Simmering of Iowa in 2000. The mound grows into a large size hosta around 22 inches in height and about 54 inches wide. Its leaves are slightly rippled and has good substance. Whitish flowers are borne in July.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...can be thought of as a half-size 'Blue Angel'. It develops a fairly dense mound habit and has a tremendous blue foliage color."
