Hosta 'Blue Cascade'

Monty and Julie Carlson of Northernair Hostas in Minnesota registered this medium size (13 inches high by 31 inches wide) cultivar as a seedling of H. 'Urajiro Hachijo' × H. 'Elvis Lives' in 2009. The leaves are intensely blue-green, heavily rippled, moderately wavy, slightly twisted and have glaucous bloom on top with purple spotted petioles. Deep purple flowers with light lavender stripes bloom from mid-August into September. It sets viable seeds in purple pods.
