Hosta 'Blue Dimples'

This Tardiana-type hosta has dark blue-green foliage of thick substance. It was registered by British Hosta and Hemerocallis Society (BHHS) on behalf of English hybridizer Eric Smith in 1988.

This cultivar forms a medium size (18 inches high) mound of slug resistant, thick textured foliage. Very pale lavender flowers appear in July to early August.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), it was formerly known as "TF 2 X 8". Also, he states that this cultivar was commonly mistaken for H. 'Blue Wedgwood' and vice versa." Labels were switched and both were widely propagated under their new designations".
