Hosta 'Country Rippled Relic'

 

Registered by Don Dean of Minnesota in 2019, this cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Party Favor' × an unnamed seedling of H. 'Grand Slam'. It is a medium to large size plant about 18 inches high by 48 inches wide with slightly blue-green foliage. The ovate leaves are heavily rippled at the margins, dull on top, slightly twisted, slightly wavy and twisted at the leaf tips. Medium lavender flowers bloom from late July into August on scapes 20 to 34 inches tall. It sets viable seeds in dark green pods.

The registration materials state: "...Dense flared mound of heavily rippled, slightly blue-green leaves. High vein count and leaf tips curve downward...turns medium green later."
