Hosta 'Drawn Butter'

Nancy Krul of Belle Gardens in Michigan registered this seedling of H. 'Whoopee' in 1994. The plant grows into a medium size (18 inches high) mound with leaves that are slightly wavy along the margins and average in substance. Pale purple flowers appear from mid-July into August followed by viable seeds.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "Nancy Krul of Belle Gardens, Centerline, Michigan, developed this rare cultivar. 'Drawn Butter' is true to its name, becoming a dense mound of gold foliage."
