This cultivar is a seedling of a seedling of H. 'Dorothy Benedict' which was registered by Dr. Ed Elslager of Michigan in 2002. It is a giant size (32 inches high by 49 inches wide) hosta with an upright growth habit. The leaves are dark green with a creamy white marginal variegation. Near white flowers bloom from mid-June into July on scapes up to 40 inches in height.

Don't confuse this one with H. 'Edge of Night'. Actually, it seems curious that both of these cultivar names were approved for registration since they are so close in spelling.
