Hosta 'Edina Heritage'

The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), says that this plant falls into a category in the H. 'Sieboldiana' group and consists of "registered seedlings that have either 'Elegans' or an 'Elegans' sport (e.g. 'Frances Williams', 'Northern Halo', etc.) as a parent. All of these have blue-green foliage and represent the range of 'Elegans' types that can be found."

This cultivar was registered by Robert Savory of Savory's Gardens in Minnesota in 1987 as an H. 'Sieboldiana' seedling. It forms a medium size (19 inches high) mound with slightly rippled, thick substanced foliage. Pale lavender flowers bloom on 37 inch high scapes.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "The name 'Edina Heritage' honors Edina, Minnesota, Robert Savory's hometown."
