Hosta 'El Dorado'

This is a seedling selection with H. 'Sieboldiana' in its background which was originated by Mildred Seaver of Massachusetts and registered on her behalf by Kevin Walek (Hosta Registrar) in 2009. The mound grows to a large size hosta about 20 inches in height with a spread of 45 inches. Its leaves are broadly ovate, deeply lobed at the base, has marginal ripples and have a long thin tip with good substance. Pale lavender flowers bloom in July.

Don't confuse this with H. 'Eldorado'. Since this one was registered, it would seem that the other one will have to change its name to avoid confusion.
