Hosta 'Emily Dickinson'

This cultivar which is a hybrid of a H. 'Neat Splash' seedling and H. plantaginea,  was registered by Wm and Eleanor Lachman in 1987. It forms a medium size (17 inches high by 41 inches wide) mound of foliage with a yellow marginal variegation that turns white later in the summer. Medium purple colored, fragrant flowers appear in August.

The New Encyclopedia of Hostas (2009) states: "Increases rapidly."

In an article in The Hosta Journal Vol. 47 No. 2 - 2016, the author described this plant's flowers as having a "Weak" fragrance compared to other hostas.
