Danny Van Eechaute of Belgium registered this cultivar which is a sport of H. 'Hadspen Blue' in 2005. It was originated by Jan van den Top in the Netherlands. The small size plant grows to about 8 inches in height. Its foliage is broadly ovate and blue-green with white lines along the veins. It bears very pale lavender flowers in clusters from late July into August followed by viable seeds.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...display thick, somewhat contorted leaves. A wide blue-green margin surrounds a very narrow, greenish white center."

The Book of Little Hostas by Kathy and Michael Shadrack (2010) says: "This cultivar will need exactly the right amount of sun to bring out the best coloration of its very unusual leaf pattern. It is therefore best in a pot or container that can be moved around until the best spot is found."

The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by Diana Grenfell (2009) states: "Slow to increase so is likely to remain a rarity. Smaller than the parent plant. The newly emerging foliage is green...The unusual variegation and the noticeable white line around the leaf edge."
