Hosta 'Holly's Velvet Piecrust'

Dr. Ralph (Herb) and Dorothy Benedict of Michigan registered this self-pollinated seedling of H. 'Holly's Honey' in 1995. It grows into a large size hosta about 20 inches high and 4 feet wide with leaves that have a distinct, curved tip. Bell-shaped purple flowers bloom in July.

Similar cultivars include H. 'Holly's Dazzler'.

These 2010 photos were taken at the Ralph (Herb) and Dorothy Benedict Hosta Hillside in Michigan, tours and vendors at The American Hosta Society National Convention in Minnesota, Wade and Gatton Nursery and Wade Botanical Gardens in Ohio, Toledo Botanical Garden and the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum.
