Hosta 'Jipson Place Summer Solstice'

Registered by Dick Butler and Dr Jamie Street of Indiana in 2016, this giant size (39 inches high by 86 inches wide) cultivar is of unidentified parentage. The broadly ovate foliage is golden yellow, moderately wavy, corrugated and dull on top. Flowers with pale lavender stripes bloom from June into July on scapes up to 38 inches tall.

The registration materials state: "Giant, fast grower. Withstands a lot of sun in Indiana. Around the summer solstice it's color begins a series of color changes. Show stopper across the garden...emerges a celery/grey green, changes to pale yellow then golden yellow which holds until fall."
