Hosta 'Kinakafu Tachi'

This non-registered cultivar is a sport of H. rectifolia from Japan. It is a medium size, semi-upright hosta with green leaves that have a gold colored medial (center) variegation. Purple flowers bloom in August.

Mikiko Lockwood in an article on The Hosta Library titled, A Little About Japanese Hosta Terms defines the term kinakafu or ki nakifu as yellow-center(ed) and the term tachi as upright, 'Tachi Gibōshi' or H. rectifolia.
